This Privacy Policy explains how the Cartless mobile application (“Cartless”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the app. Cartless is a personal tool that helps you pause before impulse purchases and track your progress. We built it to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Information stored on your device
Most of what you enter into Cartless never leaves your phone. The following is stored locally on your device only, and is not transmitted to us:
Your onboarding answers (spending habits, goals, categories, first name, date of birth/age).
Your activity in the app (pauses, streaks, levels, weekly goals, saved amounts).
This information lives in your device’s local storage and is removed when you delete the app.
2. Information processed by third-party services
To run subscriptions and understand how the app is used in aggregate, Cartless relies on the following third-party services, each acting under its own privacy policy:
Superwall — powers our paywall and subscription flow. It may process purchase activity, app-usage events, and a device identifier. See the Superwall Privacy Policy.
Apple App Store / StoreKit — processes your subscription purchase and renewal. Payment details are handled by Apple, not by us. See the Apple Privacy Policy.
Analytics — we may use a privacy-conscious analytics provider (e.g. Mixpanel) to measure anonymised, aggregate usage (which screens are reached, conversion to trial). This is used to improve the app, not to identify you. See the Mixpanel Privacy Policy.
3. What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or track you across other companies’ apps and websites for advertising.
We do not connect to your bank accounts or read your real financial transactions; spending figures are your own estimates.
4. Notifications
If you grant permission, Cartless may send local reminders (for example, a trial reminder or a gentle nudge). You can turn these off at any time in your device Settings.
5. Children
Cartless is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
6. Your choices
Delete your data: deleting the app removes the data stored on your device.
Manage your subscription: through your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Notifications: through your device Settings.
7. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
